Track Queen, Blessing Okagbare has once again shown her dominance in the 100m event in this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The 25 year old track queen, who won long jump silver and 200m bronze at the 2013 world championships, got off to a quick start in the women’s 100m and maintained her form throughout to clock a games record of 10.85secs.
“Execution and patience was key, I knew my time would come” said Okagbare. “I still have the 200m and the long jump and I’m looking forward to both of those events now”
It will be recalled that Governor Uduaghan of Delta State had last year, announced a three year training grant of $360,000 to the Delta born Africa’s fastest woman amongst other incentives to enable her succeed.
