All Progressives Congress, Ogun State Chapter has announced Mrs.Yetunde Onanuga as the running mate for the state’s gubernatorial candidate, Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
The State Chairman, Chief Roqib Adeniji made this announcement during a stakeholders meeting held in Abeokuta, Adeniji expressed optimism that Onanuga as Amosun’s running mate will ensure the party’s victory as the polls.
He said “I want to present Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga to you all as the running mate to the incumbent governor of the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, she will run alongside him in the 2015 governorship election. She is well accepted by the governor.”
Amosun also added that “today is a special day to me. All the points raised by the elders in the party are well taken; when the time comes we will do the needful.”
Onanuga is a Deputy Director in Lagos State’s Ministry of Environment, she holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the former Ogun State University now, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-iwoye.
She is the daughter of Late Alakaka of Akaka in Ijebu-North Local Government Area and she is married to Chief Abiodun Onanuga, a prominent chief in Ijebu-Ode.
