Well over a month since one of the most horrific robberies ever committed on Nigerian soil, the Nigerian Police force have arrested 2 more suspects including one being touted as the ‘most wanted’
This comes after the Police force circulated pictures of four of the suspects and asked the public for help in the investigation.
There were 17 deaths reported during the Offa incident, though some outlets claim that the victim count was up to 30.
The police have been hard at work arresting many of the individuals tied with the crime and even took in some hotel staff into custody on suspicion of aiding and abetting the robbers.
Two more suspects have been arrested in the deadly armed robbery attack in Offa, Kwara State, last month.
The suspects taken arrested were: Kunle Ogunleye (a.k.a.: Arrow), a native of Kwara State, and Micheal Adikwu, a native of Apa Local Government Area, Benue State.
Mr Ogunleye, 35, was arrested on Sunday in Oro, Kwara State.
Meanwhile, Adikwu who was one of the two arrested used to be a law enforcement agent but was summarily dismissed from the Police force where he worked as a corporal. This according to reports was because in 2012 he was arrested on suspicion of aiding robbers and releasing them in Kwara state.
Reports also indicate that he escaped prison in 2015 and then went fully into a life of crime, joining up with a gang of armed robbers with whom he carried out operations with.
Adikwu was arrested by the police intelligence response team (IRT) in Kwara State two weeks ago
