The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore says Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi is under the influence of Nigeria’s former rulers and political elite.
He stated this in a tweet on Thursday alongside a photo of Obi having a conversation with former Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd).
According to Sowore, former Heads of State, Ibrahim Babangida, Olusegun Obasanjo and Abdulsalami Abubakar; former National Security Adviser, Lt.Gen. Aliyu Gusau (rtd); and Convener of Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Prof. Ango Abdullahi, are Obi’s “godfathers”.
He said these were the same persons that “ruined Nigeria”.
Sowore wrote, “Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Aliyu Gusau, abubakar Abdusalam and Ango Abdulahi are @PeterObi’s “God fathers” the people that ruined Nigeria are the ones fronting for him. May it never happen that we work with these criminals! #WeCantContinueLikeThis”
