Anambra State Governor, Willy Obiano, has forwarded the names of 19 commissioners-nominees and 10 special advisers to the state House of Assembly for approval.

Speaker of Anambra Sate House of Assembly, Stella Nwaebili, announced the nominees at plenary on Tuesday.

The commissioner-designates included former deputy governor, Chinedu Emeka (Public Utilities and Water Resources) and two former commissioners in the immediate past administration, Callistus Ilozumba (Works) and Azuka Okeke (Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs).

Others are Tony Nnacheta (Sports), Kate Emenogha (Education), Anah Chudy (Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice), Gringory Obi (Finance), Florence Chinwuba (Housing), Solomon Chukwu (Economic Planning and Budget), Ifeatu Onejeme (Trade and Commerce) and Anthony Onyimah (Information).

The list also included Ricky Chukwumelu (Women Affairs), Chukwuma Mbonu (Transport), Evaristus Ubah (Environment), Stella Onuorah (Lands), Nobert Obi (Special Duties), Joseph Akubuike (Health), Mako Nnamdi (Agriculture) and Osita Obi Nwankwo (Science and Technology).

Special Adviser-designates included Martins Uzodike (Political Matters), Alex Ejesieme (Legal Counsel and Litigation), Anthonia Tabansi Okoyen (Chieftaincy and Town Union Matters), Amechi Okwume (Urban Development and Town Planning), Vivian Nwandu (MDGs), Amaka Ilobi (Public Works), Ngozi Okonkwo (IGR), Chikodi Anagha (Security) and Onyekachukwu Ibezim (Youth Empowerment).

The Speaker, Nwaebili assured of speedy screening of the nominees to let them start off and support the governor’s quest for development of the state.
