President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday exchanged pleasantries at the Council of State meeting at the Council Chamber of the Aso Rock Villa on Tuesday.
The two leaders smiled at each other and shook hands just before the meeting went into a closed-door session.
Recall that Obasanjo has criticised Buhari in recent times.
In a BBC Yoruba interview on Monday, the ex-president claimed that Buhari was sick in his body, mind and soul, urging him to abandon his second term bid.
Other former leaders at the meeting were former Head of Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan; former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.) and former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Gen. Ibrahim Babangida and Gen. Yakubu Gowon were absent as of 11am.
Senate President Bukola Saraki was also present at the meeting.
