Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Gov. Abiola Ajimobi would be among those to be honoured by Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology(OYSCATECH) at its maiden convocation ceremony.
This is contained in a statement signed by the institution’s Registrar, Mr Niyi Fehintola and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Sunday.
He said that Obasanjo, Ajimobi, Mrs B.A. Samson (BOVAS), Alhaji Fasasi Adesope (Owotutu) and Alhaji Rahman Alayande would be conferred with fellowship awards.
“The conferment of the fellowship awards will come up at the 1st Convocation ceremony and 10th founder’s day celebration on Thursday, August 18,’’ he said.
According to him, the programme will be held at the college’s 800-seater Lecture Theatre.
The convocation lecture would be delivered by Prof. A.A Odunsi, former Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 12 noon.
He added that the Provost, Prof. Gbemiga Adewale, the Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, Staff and Students specially invited the general public.
“The institution welcomes and congratulated the Visitor to the College, Ajimobi on the occasion of the Convocation Ceremony and the conferment of Fellowship Award on him,’’ said the registrar.
