The President of the United States, Barack Obama will not be attending the funeral of boxing legend Muhammed Ali.
The president will send a letter with White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, who knew Ali.
According to the white house, Obama and his wife Michelle will instead be at their daughter Maila’s high school graduation.
Other world leaders such as the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and King Abdullah of Jordan are set to attend the funeral that holds tomorrow.
Former British Heavyweight champion, Lennox Lewis and star actor Will Smith will act as pallbearers at the ceremony.
The traditional Muslim burial will be held at the 18,000-seat Freedom Hall, where Ali fought and won his first professional fight in 1960.
The burial will be broadcast live on the Internet.
