It is unknown whether the devices could have killed anyone or were sent as a scare tactic, but it is clear that they were sent by someone who hates Democrats or critics of Trump.

The American President reacted to the news of the bombs, calling them ‘despicable acts’

“In these times we have to unify,” Mr. Trump said. “We have to come together and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the United States of America.”

He also spoke at a rally in Wisconsin, where he said: “The media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and stop the endless hostility and constant negative and often times false attacks,”

Mrs. Clinton on her part also responded to the attack, saying: “It is a troubling time, isn’t it, and it’s a time of deep divisions and we have to do everything we can to bring our country together.”

The proposed victims of the bomb scares were all unharmed as the bombs might not even have operable, but it shows a divisive time in the nation which has been rocked by political unrest over the past year.

CNN’s Worldwide president, Jeff Zucker, believes that this attack is borne from some of the words of President Trump whom he accused of ‘Demonizing the media’

“The president, and especially the White House press secretary, should understand their words matter,” he said when talking about the bomb scares.
