It would appear that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has prematurely ended the mandatory youth service year of Nigerian Pop star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido.
Earlier in the year, a visibly excited Davido had shown up at the NYSC camp in Lagos to register for the one year mandatory service to the nation required for all Nigerian Graduates below the age of thirty having completed his University degree.

Davido aka Omo Baba Olowo (OBO) had stolen attention at the camp as he was the centre of attention of fellow corps members, soldiers and NYSC officials at the camp.
Member of the public had also been amazed that Davido decided to submit himself for service despite the fact that he was one of Nigeria’s biggest and richest pop stars.
It won’t be forgotten in a hurry how the OBO’s presence during registration caused an uproar in the Lagos camp.
It would also not be forgotten in a hurry that days after showing up at the camp, Davido flew out of the country for shows and concerts and even helped his uncle campaign during the governorship election in Osun State; in direct contravention of NYSC rules.
One Adesegun Adebayo Adeosun had posted his letter of commendation for outstanding performance from NYSC on Instagram and not long after Davido showed up in the comments section with a message that read,
“Nah so dem cancel my own.”
He however did not reveal any more information regarding who may have been responsible for the cancellation.
