The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited three courses run by the Federal College of Education (FCE Tech) Bichi, Kano State, in affiliation with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU),Bauchi.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Provost of the College, Prof. Bashir Muhammad-Fagge ,on Saturday.
According to Muhammad-Fagge, the courses are: B.Tech Electrical Electronics Technology Education; B. Tech Metal Work Technology Education and B. Tech Building Technology Education.
He said with this development, the College presently offered eight courses at degree level and all in affiliation with the ATBU,Bauchi.
“Another five new courses were approved by the commission after a resource visit by panels of experts on the proposed academic programme,” he said.
And these courses are: B.Sc (Ed) Agricultural Science; B.Sc (Ed) Integrated Science; B. Sc (Ed) Mathematics; B.Sc (Ed.), Biology; and B.Sc,(Ed.) Chemistry.
”The five additional courses are to commence immediately in the 2018/2019 academic session,” the provost said.
He said that the success of the Directorate of Degree Programmes of the college was one of his achievements as the provost .(NAN)
