NPFL: Shooting Stars GM Lawal Applauds Fans for Orderly First Round

2 Min Read

The General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Dimeji Lawal, has commended the team’s supporters for their discipline and unwavering support during the first round of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Speaking to the club’s media, Lawal attributed the team’s strong performance to the encouragement provided by their fans and pledged a more promising second round.

“On behalf of my chairman, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, the management, coaches, staff, and players, I want to appreciate our teeming supporters and fans for ensuring we had a hitch-free first round at home,” Lawal said.

“We were able to achieve what we achieved in the first round because of their support and belief in us. Even when we were not doing well, they stood by us, and this contributed to our success so far. Kudos to them.”

Lawal acknowledged the team’s imperfections in the first round but assured fans that improvements are underway.

“We know we didn’t have a perfect team in the first round, but I want to assure them that we are already working to address our shortcomings. We have a competent technical crew led by Coach Gbenga Ogunbote, and we are confident they will fix all the gray areas before the second round begins,” he added.

Shooting Stars currently sit in third place on the NPFL table with 33 points from 19 games, positioning them as strong contenders for the title in the second round.
