NPFL: Kano Pillars Refocus on El-Kanemi Warriors After Remo Stars Defeat

1 Min Read

Kano Pillars assistant coach Ahmed Garba has assured fans that the team is fully concentrated on their upcoming rescheduled Matchday 20 clash against El-Kanemi Warriors. This follows a narrow 2-1 defeat to league leaders Remo Stars last weekend.

Despite the setback, Garba expressed optimism about his team’s prospects, stating that they have moved past the loss and are determined to secure maximum points against their northern rivals.

“The defeat at Remo was painful because we played much better and deserved to take something from the game, but luck wasn’t on our side,” Garba told the club’s media. “We have put that setback behind us and are now looking ahead to Wednesday’s match against El-Kanemi Warriors, where I strongly believe we will secure a positive result, God willing.”

A victory on Wednesday would see the four-time NPFL champions climb to 10th position in the standings ahead of their weekend home fixture against Abia Warriors.
