Nothing Wrong With President Attending Fancy Wedding Party – Lauretta Onochie

2 Min Read

The Personal  Assistant on Social Media to the President, Lauretta Onochie has taken sides with  President Muhammadu Buhari over criticisms trailing his presence at the Ajimobi-Ganduje wedding in Kano.hTge Wedding ceremony  which took place  in Kano on Saturday between the  son of Oyo State Governor, Idris Abiola Ajimobi and daughter of Kano State Governor, Fatima Umar Ganduje had the President and several Governors in marked attendance.

The  president’s actions however have led to a backlash as citizens criticized his decisions , saying he has failed to visit Dapchi, where Boko Haram insurgents last week abducted 110 girls from Government Girls Technical College, Dapchi, in Yobe State,a move many feel ought to have been made by the President in the glare of the ugly incident which occurred.

The president’s special assistant, Femi Adesina, had earlier said the president will visit Yobe State if he feels there is a need to.

Onochie took to her Twitter handle to air out her own opinion on the imbroglio.

The presidential aide towed the line of her peers, tweeting ‘President Buhari is an adult and will decide where he goes’.

She tweeted:

President @MBuhari is an adult. He decides where he goes. He decided it’s Kano today. And to Kano he went.
