A Muslim journalist, Jaafar Jaafar has urged handlers of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to advise him against reciting the Quran, saying fellow Muslims in the North do not appreciate his “cringe-worthy mistakes” made during the recitation attempts.
Jaafar, who is the Publisher of Daily Nigerian, gave the piece of advice in a series of tweets on Wednesday evening.
He said that making such mistakes repeatedly could negatively affect Tinubu’s popularity among Muslims in the north.
“Tinubu handlers should stop him from making further attempts to recite Quranic verses.
“Muslims don’t take serious their fellows who could not recite the first chapter of the Quran.
“In his many attempts to display his Muslimness, the APC candidate ends up muddling everything.

“Average Muslim voters in the North don’t care about Tinubu’s blabbing gaffes in campaign rhetoric, but worry about his cringeworthy mistakes on Quranic verses, especially the Opener/Mother of Quran.
“Tinubu is not under obligation to recite Quranic verses during campaign.
“The more he makes these unforgivable mistakes during campaign, the less popular he becomes among Muslim voters.”
