The Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, Babangida Aliyu has called for a probe of the Associated Airlines plane crash which claimed 13 lives yesterday.
According to a statement signed by Aliyu’s Spokesman, Mr Danladi Ndayebo, the Governor urged the Federal Government to probe the crash stating that “this latest crash must not be allowed to go the way of the previous ones.
“The safety of the flying public must be of paramount importance to those saddled with the responsibility of ensuring safe air travels. No stone should be left unturned in ensuring this.”
Aliyu also sent condolences to the Ondo State government, the family of Agagu and all other bereaved families.
In Ogun, Governor Ibikunle Amosun described the plane crash, as regrettable.
“I join the entire nation, especially the government and people of Ondo State, in lamenting this monumental disaster,” Amosun said.
