“North just breeding children for power, with no education” – Samklef fumes

Samklef

Popular songwriter and producer, Samuel Oguachuba says education is the panacea to the myriad problems confronting Northern Nigeria.

The Imo State-born artiste lamented poor development indices in northern states compared to their South-West and South-East counterparts.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, he stated that despite suffering huge losses during the Nigeria Civil War, Igbos have educated since and are par with their South-West counterparts while the North continues to lag behind on all fronts except producing children.

Samklef, who produced many of Wizkid’s early songs including Don’t Dull and Pakurumo, explained that education would bring the gap.

Furthermore, Samklef berated the present administration for not doing enough to improve education in Nigeria, especially in the North.

Education is the cure to all the northern people… this administration no get any vision..looking for how to steal money. After the war, the Igbos went to educate themselves same with the Yorubas but the northern just dey breed children for power. With no education,” Samklef wrote.

In another tweet, he said that the present administration has focused on the north at the detriment of other regions.

He said that various Federal Government programmes including rehabilitation of Boko Haram fighters and reforming of Almajiri children have given the impression that the north is more important than other regions.

The artiste urged stakeholders from other regions to speak out against the anomaly.

“All I see is almajiri reform, Boko haram rehabilitation.. are the north the only focus in Nigeria? Nobody is speaking the truth,” Samklef wrote.
