Legendary Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs has celebrated his 82nd birthday, putting to rest recent rumors of his demise. Jacobs, who has been battling Dementia with Lewy bodies, marked the milestone with his wife of over 35 years, Joke Silva.
Silva took to Instagram to pay tribute to her husband, sharing a video compilation of Jacobs’ iconic moments. “82 just like that. Agba ko ni nira l’agbara Jesu. Happy birthday and have an amazing year ahead, my darling,” she wrote.
Jacobs’ illustrious career spans over 100 movies and TV shows, including “The Royal Hibiscus Hotel”, “Oloibiri”, and “The Dogs of War”. He remains a beloved figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, celebrated for his iconic roles and contributions to Nollywood’s growth.
