Renowned Nollywood actor and film producer Kunle Afolayan has tragically lost his mother, Omoladun Afolayan, at the age of 81. Afolayan confirmed the sad news in a heartfelt Instagram post, reflecting on his mother’s fulfilling life.
In his message, he stated, “It is hard to accept, but she surely lived a good life. Our mother, Maami Omoladun Ayanladun Afolayan, has gone to rest. (1943-2024).” He expressed gratitude for her legacy, noting that she is survived by her children and grandchildren and asked for prayers during this difficult time.
Kunle’s brother, actor Gabriel Afolayan, also shared his grief on social media, writing, “Home is not cool. We lost a very dear one. You’d be greatly missed, big mummy (Iya Oyo). We all love you to bits. I will miss my gist and dance partner. Rest on #maami.” He added a tribute to his siblings, using the hashtags #kunleafo and #aremumimostwantedlikecrudeoil.
