In a recent exchange of words, Afrobeats sensation Davido responded to accusations from former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick. The former football administrator alleged that Davido failed to honor a performance at the 19th edition of ‘Warri Again’ despite being paid a substantial sum of $94,600.
Amaju Pinnick, speaking at the event in Warri, took a dig at the ‘Unavilable Crooner’, asserting that Burna Boy, with his deep ties to the Itsekiri heritage, holds the mantle of the biggest artiste in Nigeria. Pinnick’s comments appeared to undermine Davido’s stature in the music industry.
In response, Davido took to social media platform X to assert his rights to perform anywhere in Nigeria, dismissing any hindrances that might come his way. He made it clear that no one can impede his ability to perform across the nation. He further extended his assurance to fans in Warri, promising to grace their city with his presence in the near future.
NOBODY CAN STOP ME FROM PERFORMING-ANYWHERE IN NIGERIA … WARRI I WILL SEE YOU SOON . ❤️
