Kassim Afegbua, the spokesman for former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida today visited the Police Headquarters to honour an invitation extended to him by police authorities after a controversial statement he issued on behalf of the former president on Sunday.
The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, through the Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, had declared Afegbua wanted on Monday after accusing him of “injurious falsehood” over the statement, which the former leader later confirmed to THISDAY.
At the police headquarters, Afegbua met the police spokesman in company of his lawyer, Dr. Kayode Ajulo.
Afegbua and Moshood could be seen in all smiles in the FPRO’s office, signalling that the animosity between them was over.
