The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has fixed Tuesday to hold an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting over its proposed indefinite industrial action, The Herald reports.
This was made known in a terse statement on Sunday by NLC General Secretary, Emmanuel Ugboaja, to Presidents, General Secretaries, and Treasurers of affiliate unions.
According to the statement, the meeting which will be held on Tuesday would be done virtually.
Though the subject matter of the meeting was not stated, it may not be unconnected to NLC’s planned strike following the expiration of a 21- working day ultimatum to the Federal Government.
