The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted thunderstorms over the central states of the country on Monday morning.
The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook report issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Sunday in Abuja.
It also predicted that the high ground areas of Jos, Abuja, Minna and environs would have localised thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours with daytime temperatures of 26 to 34 degrees Celsius.
The Agency predicted thunderstorms over the southern states in the morning and localised rains in the afternoon hours with day time temperatures of 28 to 31 degrees Celsius.
NiMet predicted that northern states would experience morning cloudy conditions with prospects of localised thunderstorms over the North-Western flank in the afternoon with day time temperatures of 34 to 39 degrees Celsius.
According to the prediction, most places in the country are expected to witness thunderstorms in the morning except for the northern states that will be mostly cloudy. (NAN)
