The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted cloudy weather conditions with localised thunderstorm over the central states of Lafia, Jalingo, Makurdi and parts of Abuja on Sunday morning.
The prediction is contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Saturday in Abuja.
It added that there would be chances of isolated thunderstorm over the high grounds areas in the afternoon and evening hours with maximum daytime temperatures of 28 to 36 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudiness with chances of rains around Port-Harcourt, Calabar and Eket in the morning.
It also predicted that places like Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Awka, Akure and Oshogbo would experience thunderstorms with maximum daytime temperatures of 32 to 35 degrees Celsius.
NiMet also predicted that northern states of Sokoto, Kano, Gusau and Katsina would experience cloudy conditions in the morning with partly cloudy situation later in the day.
It added that the northern region would have maximum daytime temperatures in the range of 38 to 41 degrees Celsius during the forecast period.
According to the prediction, weather activities are anticipated in most cities around the country due to favourable weather condition especially the inland cities and the coast in the next 24hours. (NAN)
