The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted chances of morning rainfall over Yola, Mambila Plateau, Jalingo and Jos on Monday morning.
The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) in Abuja on Sunday.
The agency predicted thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Minna, Makurdi, Bida, Ilorin and Lokoja in the afternoon with day time temperatures of 25 to 31 degree Celsius.
NiMet predicted that the Northern states would experience cloudy condition over the region with prospect of thunderstorms over Yelwa, Sokoto and Bauchi with day time temperatures of 30 to 35 degrees Celsius.
According to the prediction, there will be chances of rainfall activities within the country in the next 24 hours.
The agency also predicted that the Southern States would experience rains over Ikom, Lagos, Ijebu-ode, Port Harcourt, Eket, Yenagoa, Benin and its environ in the morning.
It said that coastal cities and places around Enugu, Onitsha, Akwa, Ebonyi, Owerri, Oshogbo, Akure, Owerri, Warri, Calabar, Asaba, Shaki, Benin, Abeokuta and Ogoja would experience rain in the afternoon.
It added that the day time temperatures would between 29 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.
