Larry Ekundayo of Nigeria on Friday beat Joseph Lamptey of Ghana for the African Boxing Union Welterweight title.
The match which took place in the United Kingdom was witnessed by fans from the two West African countries that came to cheer their compatriots to victory.
Ekundayo went into the game with ten victories under his belt with no defeats, while the more experienced Lamptey had 18 wins, 6 defeats and 1 knockout prior to the game.
