Nigerians Reply Hanan Buhari Over Undeserved ‘Silent Achiever’ Laurel

2 Min Read

President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter, Hanan’s description of her father as a “silent achiever” has pitched her against some Nigerians, who described the accolade as undeserved.

The president’s daughter had taken to her Instagram story on Tuesday to shower accolades on her father.

Sharing a photo of the President during the Fleet Review held at the Naval Dockyard Limited in Victoria Island, Lagos, Hanan

She wrote, “My Father ❤️… The Silent Achiever.”

Buhari had on Monday reviewed the Presidential Fleet.

However, many Nigerians disagreed with Hanan’s assertion in reactions monitored by The Herald on Twitter on Wednesday.

@lagospikin wrote, “This reminds me of the old & still relevant proverb below😜😜 ‘Monkey no fine, him mama like am'”.

Waxing sarcastic, @Tony_Orumgbe wrote, “Very interesting…what an amazing achiever.

“On his watch:
– over 70,000 Nigerians killed needlessly
– inflation over 30%
– corruption running on steroids
– over 70 Trillion Naira national debt.
– over 120 million living in multi- dimensional poverty

“Quite a record indeed.🤔”

@wenzyo wrote, “I wish they asked her to specify what her father did right.”

@Graceman4life wrote, “And his achievements have been silent and refused to speak even when we gave them microphone 🎤”

@pecheli09 wrote, “For sure! Very few people are bold enough to admit that the soup they cooked is not tasty. I see where you’re coming from.”

@excelentspirit wrote, “He is indeed a silent DISASTER…”

@BenDiaspora wrote, “At least Buhari did well for his kids.

“Would that he did the same for the other 93 million youth whose fathers are not heads of state.”
