Saraki may need to bring in top shot lawyers from the United States, just like MTN😉😊

Instead of Saraki to be defending himself against the charges, he is fighting against being tried. That just smells like GUILTY AS CHARGED!

Next thing Saraki's defense will do is to ask Justice Danladi to recuse himself. Who wants to bet?

If the word "Distinguished" attached to our Senators meant anything, they will demand that Senator Saraki resigns to face his CCT trial.

I like Saraki, but I'm truly confused, did people actually think he would get a victory at the court today? How? Based on what?

Plan B:
Trial resumes
FG tenders document
Saraki objects
CCT Rules against him
Saraki appeals ruling
Tells CCT to wait for CA & SC decide

I predicted the outcome when I saw Justice Samuel Walter Presides.
This piece threw Joseph Daodu counsel to Saraki off balance;”….the CCT is a court of criminal jurisdiction, albeit limited jurisdiction. The immediate question whether it is a court or not. There is no inherent difference between a court and a tribunal. The only difference is that tribunal in most cases handle Special cases. The tribunal has power to impose sanctions according to the law. It is a court with specific criminal jurisdiction. ….. I find no merit in the appeal, it is hereby DISMISS” Two option is left for him either he resigns honourable or will be ejected legally…!!! |

Good decision from the supreme court. Saraki will now have to defend himself before the CCT. No more silly games and hiding behind frivolous appeal, he must tell the tribunal how he acquired all those properties that belonged to him and why he refused to disclose some of them in his asset declaration form. The wailers who have accused Buhari of shielding Saraki from prosecution can now eat their words. Buhari is a democrat who does not interfere in the judicial process. All corruption cases will be followed to its logical conclusions and justice will be done at the end of the day. |

Now we can go back to the real matter. The technical hurdle has successfully been crossed.
