It has been reported that Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, has budgeted N3.914 billion Naira for the maintenance of the Aso Villa.
In 2014, Jonathan spent N12.2 billion on the State House, while in 2015, the government spent N6.6 billion for the presidential office, amid dwindling revenue occasioned by sliding oil prices.
President Buhari has promised more jobs, economic growth and a cut-down on frivolous spending.
However, Nigerians have reacted, with some doubting the Change mantra promised by the present administration. Others have berated the President, claiming he is as corrupt as the politicians he is prosecuting.
