Nigerians on social media reacted to a video report by Sahara Reporters which alleged that the son of the Director General of the Department of State Security (DSS), Yusuf Bichi moved around with DSS Operatives as body guards and also charters private planes on the budget of the security agency.
The video showed Abba Bichi moving around with armed men in dark suits as well as in private planes with friends and cronies. Most of the shots in the videos appeared to have been gathered from social media videos and pictures posted by Abba Bichi himself.
Other shots showed the young Bichi being escorted by DSS officials to watch a local football match while they stood watch.

Reacting to the report, some Nigerians did not see anything wrong with the act. They justified it saying the Abba Bichi supports football development along youths in his home state and moves between Abuja and Kano organising football competitions.
If his son is kidnapped now you people will complain. I follow this boy on IG (an U-17 player for Nigeria) and these times you people see him moving about he is organizing football competitions in both abuja and his state reaching out to the youths, etc.

Other people expressed the fact that such protection should be at his personal expense and not the public purse.
