In a time when all forms of information dissemination have gone digital, the federal government of Nigeria has finally made late but concerted efforts to match the general populace use of social media by opening up channels on the respective platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram just to mention a few
Surprisingly enough, the Presidency just recently opened a handle on Nairaland; an online forum for Nigerians here in the motherland and in the diaspora.
The handle is was named ‘Aso Villa news’ and was just recently opened on Tuesday, 23rd of May, 2017.
Nigerians on the platform gave their varying views to the development, some condemnatory, some comic and some indifferent. However, there was resentment apparent in a lot of the comments made.
