Twitter users have expressed surprise as pictures from Itedo Grammar School in the highbrow Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos emerged.
A video and photos of the flooded school were shared by Cool FM radio station on Wednesday on their Twitter handle.
The radio station wrote: “Itedo Grammar School, Lekki Phase 1 students seen in class.
“How can children learn like this?”
The video showed the flooded school and students who were trying to sweep away the water that had taken over the corridors of their classrooms.
Since the emergence of the visuals, Twitter users have been calling on the government, both at the state and local level, to remedy the situation.
Some also called ona wealthy church close to the school to lend a helping hand.

This is no news! In some secondary schools in high brow Ketu, and Co, many students resort to used tyres as benches and desks. Such school buildings are good looking though.
A visit to these schools will convince you.

And there are big churches in that axis that can collaborate with the government to fix the school, we shouldn’t leave everything to the government.

I pay my tax to @followlasg so it can be accountable for schools like this!
I neither pay tithes, nor give offerings to any religious organization, so what is my business with them?
Mr. @AkinwunmiAmbode , pls come do your job!
