A gale of funny and not-so-funny reactions have trailed the acquisition of Diamond Bank by Access Bank.
The process to the acquisition was reported to have started last week after Diamond Bank announced its decision to drop its international operating licence to focus on national operations following capitalisation issues.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is expected to officially announce the acquisition during the course of the week.
