Nigerians have expressed their shock and disappointment as former Aviation Minister , Femi Fani-Kayode called a Journalist stupid during a Press conference.
The Herald earlier reported that Fani-Kayode while fielding questions from Journalist to mark the end of his visit to Cross River state, blasted Eyo Charles, Daily Trust reporter who asked him who was bankrolling his recent trips to southern states.
Angered by the question, Fani-Kayode launched a barrage of insults against Eyo.
However, Nigerians have lashed out at FFK for attempting to intimidate and silence the Press, the watchdogs of any government.
Here are some of the reactions culled from Twitter
Femi Fani-Kayode @realFFK here rampaging and denigrating a journo for asking him a simple question, “who is bankrolling your PR junkets these days?”.
You have to blame the other journalists who sat there and even blamed their colleague for doing his job! #Shame #RevolutionNow
@DavidHundeyin
Hustle sha, so that one day a recovered cocaine addict who has spent 59 years living off his father’s name will not insult you for doing your job and ask you “Who is your father?”
Any small thing, “mY faTheR wAs rEmi fAni-KaYode, whO iS YouR faTheR?”

Unpopular opinion.
Forget Femi Fani-Kayode for a second, until brown envelope collection becomes a no-no, Nigerian journalists should expect this kind of ridicule from time to time.
As I’ve always said, this industry urgently needs a national conversation on pay & money ethics.
Only in Nigeria will a suspected drug addict verbally assault a jouno & some stupid Nigerians are clapping. Is he bigger than Trump that is daily embarrassed with worse questions?
Former minister my foot.

Everything is wrong with poverty 😪. See guy displaying “humility” when he’s supposed to do his job professionally and “fight” back with even more probing & intelligent questions. Poorly trained!
Nigerian politicians enjoy too much than they deserve. This is “see finish”. 🤦🏽♂️

This is how indoctrinations happen. When everyone else (aka society) reverberates and echoes a particular line of thought or nuance, no matter how shitty it is, it begins to become a norm. Sad 😔

It called “Ogboju” Femi used a street code on them and they look lost.

I was sad for the journalist, he couldn’t speak anymore. He was toothless, head bowed and shoulders stooped down in defeat.
Femi Fani Kayode (FFK) called UK journalist Femi Okutubo of Trumpet Newspaper ‘stupid’ during a live Zoom broadcast on Ben Tv in May 2020. He has no respect for the press.
