A former presidential aide, Dr Doyin Okupe, says Nigerian voters cannot wait to vote for PDP presidential aspirant, Peter Obi in 2023.
Okupe, who stepped down his presidential ambition to back Obi, stated this in a Facebook post across the country.
The Herald can report that Obi was in Asaba, Delta State earlier today to address Delta delegates ahead of the PDP National Convention.
Obi competing for the PDP presidential ticket against other party stalwarts, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Nyesom Wike, Aminu Tambuwal, Senator Bukola Saraki, Senator Bala Mohammed, among others.
Sharing a photo of Obi during the meeting with Delta delegates, Okupe captioned it, “Peter Obi addresses PDP delegates in Asaba, Delta State.
“In my view, Nigerian voters are waiting for President Peter Obi, The PDP has the responsibility and obligation to present him by giving him the party ticket at the primaries in May.”

The aspirants made the disclosure while briefing journalists on the outcome of their visit to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia in his Umuobiakwa country home in Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA) on Tuesday.
Speaking on behalf of other aspirants, the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, said the decision was informed by their determination to make Nigeria better.
