More good news emerging from the Yobe theatre of the war against terror say Nigerian troops killed a total of 105 Boko Haram Terrorists as well as some elements of Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters.
This feat was achieved following aggressive follow up/exploitation carried out by troops of 2 sector, Operation Lafiya Dole following a Boko Haram attack on Buni Gari.

Nigerian Troops repelled the attack, initially killing 10 terrorist fighters while the rest fled. Soldiers however pursued the terrorists and inflicted maximum damage, killing a total of 105 and recovering weapons and drugs in the process.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai praised the troops for the gallantry when he visited the theatre of operations.
He also visited soldiers who were wounded during the encounter at the Field Ambulance Logistics Base 3 Damaturu and Special Forces’ School, Buni Yadi, Yobe State.
