The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange ended the week in the green adding 0.15%, despite a 2.02% dip recorded on Friday.
A turnover of 1.666 billion shares worth N14.057 billion were traded in 14,003 deals on the bourse against 850.095 million shares valued at N9.060 billion traded in 9,414 deals last week.
The Top Three Equities traded by volume were Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc, Access Bank Plc and United Bank for Africa Plc, with a total of 775.89 million shares worth N1.925 billion traded in 1,380 deals. Combined, they accounted for 46.56% and 13.69% of the total equity turnover volume and value respectively.
The Financial Services Industry, the ICT Industry and the Consumer Goods Industry led the activity chart. The Financial Services Industry had 1.376 billion shares valued at N7.823 billion traded in 7,435 deals, while the ICT Industry had 91.924 million shares worth N121.429 million traded in 49 deals and the Consumer Goods Industry had 67.786 million shares worth N2.475 billion traded in 2,844 deals.
