Dammy Krane has shared a sneak peek of a diss track he has recorded in response to the ongoing rift between him and Davido. The dispute between the two musicians ignited after Dammy Krane accused Davido of failing to pay him royalties for a song they collaborated on in 2017.
In a video posted on his Instagram story this past Saturday, Oyindamola Emmanuel, widely known as Dammy Krane, unveiled his upcoming diss track titled ‘Owe B Owe.’ The lyrics of the song offer a scathing commentary on their ongoing quarrel:
“Owe B owe (owe owe one) “Pay me my money (Owe owe one) “Owe B Owe (Owe Owe One) “Sha ma sere,’
This musical retaliation comes in the wake of a recent Twitter spat where Dammy Krane publicly called out Davido for his alleged failure to remunerate him for their collaborative track, ‘Pere,’ and accused the superstar singer of poaching an artist, Idowest, from his record label.
In his Twitter post, Dammy Krane expressed his concerns, stating, “Let’s not forget #davido; you took Idowest from my record label; I didn’t talk because I saw you as a brother, neither did I drag the artiste (cos I had done my part to help him). Genuinely I want to know why you don’t want to pay me for a song you tweeted that I wrote after all.”
Davido, in his defense, took to Twitter on Friday to counter the accusations, asserting that Dammy Krane had yet to compensate him for the three songs they had recorded together. Davido also recalled his generosity in offering Dammy Krane shelter and sustenance during a period when the latter was homeless.
“I never got paid for that also my three verses I’ve gifted you all your dead career… oh yea plus my royalties,” Davido retorted. “We charge now, so that’s about $150k x3 a verse… also house rent and food when u stayed in my house in Atlanta when you were homeless.“
