Nigerian rapper and actor Ikechukwu Onunaku has confirmed the dissolution of his marriage, providing insights into the reasons behind the separation. The former Mohits rapper, who tied the knot with his fiancée, Ella, in May 2021, recently spoke openly about the end of his marriage in an interview with Daddy Freeze.
Ikechukwu shared that he and his wife are no longer together, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the primary cause for the marital breakdown. Contrary to speculation, he clarified that infidelity was not the reason for their separation.
During the interview, Ikechukwu elaborated on the challenges that led to the decision to end the marriage. He mentioned issues such as excessive gaslighting, constant fault-finding, and the influence of external opinions. The rapper expressed that, despite his efforts to salvage the relationship, he reached a point where he could no longer tolerate his ex-wife’s behavior, leading to the ultimate decision to part ways.
He shared, “I tried to save our marriage but I got to a point where I couldn’t tolerate my ex-wife’s excesses anymore, and I showed her my other side, and we couldn’t bear it.“
