The Nigerian Police Force has launched its own national broadcasting and radio service expected to serve the entire nation.
The police force’s broadcasting service will be managed by the Nigeria Police Broadcasting Service Limited, NPBS, which as been set up through a partnership between the police and a private outfit.
The recent development was made public by a news website, THEWILL on Wednesday.
Sources privy to the information regarding the latest development revealed to the news medium that the Nigerian Police’s broadcasting Service will air news and current affairs in all the states of the federation including the FCT.
The radio and broadcasting service will be jointly funded by the Police force and private investors behind Skytick Limited.
The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has according to report been served with paperwork for the broadcasting service’s license.
