Nigerian Lady Loses International Job Due To Her Nationality

2 Min Read

A hard working Nigerian recounted how she lost an international client due to her nationality. According to the lady, her client was advised to avoid Nigerians when doing remote job due to their fraudulent Nature.

At first her client seemed keen in offering her the job and even commended her qualifications, but as soon as the client found out about her nationality, she withdrew the job .

Over time this has become a huge issue for a lot of Nigerians who try to do businesses with foreigners as a lot of Nigerians engage in fraudulent activities in other countries, thereby making it hard for other hardworking Nigerians who try to make a living.

In the last decade alone, more than 10 Nigerians have been executed in Indonesia for drug-related crimes, four of them by firing squad in 2015, despite pleas for leniency by Nigeria, the United Nations and Amnesty International.

About 153 others are still on the death row in Indonesia. Across Asia, it is reported that about 16, 500 Nigerians are in prison

The client said, ” ohh i’m so sorry, you seem really good, but i just noticed you are from Nigeria and unfortunately we have had some bad past experience with scamming attempts previously. So I will respectfully decline, thanks anyways.”
