Chima Udoye has been declared the winner of Nigerian Idol season 9, beating out stiff competition from other talented contestants. The grand finale, which held on Sunday, featured special performances from past winners Progress and Victory Gbakara, as well as guest appearances by Simi and Chike.
Udoye’s victory comes with a prize package worth N30 million, including a music deal with a music video, a DSTV Explora with a 1-year premium subscription, and a brand new SUV.
The Nigerian Idol competition, which began several months ago, saw tens of thousands of aspiring singers audition for a spot in the top 10. The contestants were whittled down through a series of performances and eliminations, with Udoye emerging as the ultimate winner.
Congratulations are pouring in for Udoye from fans and fellow contestants alike, as he celebrates his well-deserved win.
