Chijioke Stephen Obioha, a Nigerian national, and graduate of Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin, is set to be executed in Singapore on Friday, 18th November, for drug related offences.
He was arrested on the 9th of April, 2007, in Singapore, an Asian country whose law is the death penalty for drug traffickers.
Mr Obioha had appealed lhis sentence in August 2010, maintaining his innocence, but the court rejected to commune his death sentence to a prison sentence.
Amnesty International has urged human rights activists to petition the Singapore government and grant him clemency following his appeal to them.
