Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Josh2Funny, has opened up about why he stopped playing his popular female character, “Mama Felicia”. In a recent interview on ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, Josh2Funny explained that he quit the character due to harassment from homosexual men.
The comedian stated that he received unwanted advances from gay men who were attracted to his female character, which made him feel embarrassed and appalled. He emphasized that his intention was to create comedy, not to attract romantic attention.
To distance himself from the unwanted attention, Josh2Funny transitioned to a new male character, “Brother Zakius”, and started wearing male clothes in his skits. He expressed his desire to simply make people laugh without facing harassment.
