Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has clarified her Guinness World Records status in the wake of an announcement by the organization that Irish chef Alan Fisher has set a new record for the longest cooking marathon.
Guinness World Records recently revealed that Alan Fisher had cooked for an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan, making him the new record holder.
This development prompted Hilda Baci to adjust her social media bio by removing the “Guinness World Record Holder” label, which sparked inquiries from her followers.
In response to these queries, Hilda explained her decision to update her bio, highlighting that it was a respectful nod to the new record holder. She cited the example of Chef Lata from India, who had similarly adjusted her bio when her record was surpassed earlier in the year.
Hilda Baci expressed her admiration for Alan Fisher’s remarkable achievement, emphasizing the hard work required to set such a record. She encouraged sportsmanship and the recognition of progress, with a focus on celebrating accomplishments and fostering a spirit of competition.
