Nigerian Artist Falz Defends Alex Iwobi Against Cyber-Bullying After AFCON Final

Renowned Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the bad guy, has taken a stand against cyber-bullying targeted at Super Eagles player, Alex Iwobi. The defender faced criticism on social media for his alleged poor performance during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nation’s final on Sunday.

In a passionate defense posted on his Instagram page, Falz emphasized the collective sacrifice made by every player representing Nigeria in the AFCON match. He condemned the negative treatment meted out to Iwobi and urged against turning against their own.

We win together, we lose together. Every single player that puts on the green white green to represent us is making an immense sacrifice and does not deserve to be treated with this much disdain,” Falz expressed.

Highlighting the prevalent issue of cyber-bullying, the rapper called for unity and support for the national team, emphasizing the need to appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of the players.
