Soldiers set up by Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Benin and Cameroon to fight Boko Haram insurgents have arrested a total of 10 Boko Haram members and killed 27 others in Northern Cameroon.
According to the Commander of a Regional Army Force, Bouba Dobekreo, “A Multinational Joint Task Force (MJTF) set up by Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Benin and Cameroon to fight Boko Haram across borders, ambushed a group of the terrorists on Wednesday near the town of Fotokol”.
The commander while speaking on Thursday added: “It is located close to the border with Nigeria. No soldiers were killed during the clashes.”
The Boko Haram insurgents responsible for the kidnapping of Chibok girls in Borno, Nigeria have been posing a constant threat to Chad, Niger and Cameroon.
