Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, who verified the report of the crash stated the reason for the crash was that the helicopter “suffered mishap”
“The aircraft has suffered severe damage but fortunately no lived were lost.” He noted
“A Nigerian Airforce NAF Mi-17 helicopter has suffered a mishap while undertaking a mission in the ongoing counter-insurgency operation in the Northeast.” the statement by Adesanya said
“The Chief of Air Staff, has asked for a prompt inquiry and report from the constitution of the board to determine the cause of the incident,” Adesanya added.
