Nigerian actor, entrepreneur, artiste, and the visionary founder of Blaqk Stereo Music Group (BSMG), Hawwal Ogungbadero, along with a talented group of 29 other artistes, has set a remarkable new record in the music industry. Their extraordinary achievement of recording music non-stop for an astounding 40 hours and 19 minutes has earned them a coveted place in the prestigious Guinness World Records’ hall of fame.
Despite not receiving the same level of public attention as Ms Baci’s previous attempt, Hawwal Ogungbadero and his team at BSMG have made history. Driven by their passion to create a platform that nurtures the creative talents of young artists, Hawwal organized the marathon recording event on June 25, 2022.
The awe-inspiring recording session took place at the state-of-the-art Sambol Production Studio in Lagos. Hawwal, alongside his talented team, showcased their musical prowess by contributing their skills to multiple music instrumentals without any breaks for an astonishing duration of 40 hours and 19 minutes.
Hawwal proudly announced their monumental achievement on his Instagram handle on May 29, 2023. Accompanied by pictures of himself and his team holding their well-deserved Guinness World Record titles, he expressed his gratitude to his dedicated team and sponsors, acknowledging the challenging journey they undertook to reach this incredible milestone.
The multi-talented actor emphasized that the purpose of their record-breaking attempt was to promote Nigerian artists and amplify their talents on a global scale through renowned platforms like the Guinness World Records. Hawwal’s caption reflected his gratitude and appreciation, thanking God Almighty for the privilege to be a positive force of change and growth in his generation. He also extended special thanks to the blockchain company Near Protocol for their significant financial support, which played a vital role in executing the ambitious project.
