FIFA’s warning and deadline did not stop the Nigerian National team from flying into South Africa as they prepare towards Wednesday’s
match against the Bafana Bafana.
There are unconfirmed reports that head coach Stephen Keshi invited the Uche Brothers (Ike Uche and Kalu Uche) who he left out of the
initial 23-man squad to join the line-up that will play against South Africa.
These reports also claimed that two persons were asked to leave the team but no identifications were made.
Stephen Keshi has assured Nigerians that the team will put in more effort against South Africa, blaming the cause of Saturday’s defeat on
the tactics implored by his boys.
South Africa defeated Sudan 3 – 0 on Friday and are currently sitting on the first position of Group A.
Congo’s 3 – 2 victory over Nigeria placed them on the second position and Nigeria on the third.
